Jaemo Choi

Director & Registered Acupuncturist & Herbalist

BHSc of TCM, Dip of Acu and Herbal medicine, NZASA, ACC Registered

Jaemo Choi was originally born in Korea and moved into NZ when he was at the age of 18. Jaemo gained a bachelor degree in Health science of TCM (Acupuncture and herbal medicine) also Dip of Acupuncture and herbal medicine from NZCCM (New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine) and has grown extensive experience of treating range of conditions for the past 9 years.  

Many patients visited him gained great benefit from Acupuncture treatment, not only for pain relieve but also improving a quality of daily living.

Jaemo genuinely believes that the harmonizing body will help to gain natural body balance and the Oriental medicine will facilitate these internal balances in the body. 

 

Acupuncturists use mulitple techniques:

  • Traditional acupuncture - ultra-fine needles inserted into specific points along defined pathways (meridans)
  • Therapeutic application of heat (moxibustion)
  • Vacuum pressure (cupping)
  • Electrical current (electroacupuncture)

John Lim

Registered Physiotherapist

BHSc of Physiotherapy,  ACC Registered

John is an experienced physiotherapist and has been awarded Physiotherapy New Zealand M L Roberts Prize and Sports Physiotherapy New Zealand Student Research Prize. John studied and graduated from the University of Otago with Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPhty). John is fluently bilingual in both English and Korean. 

John has experiences treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions including accidents, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, degenerative conditions and congenital conditions. 

John is trained in utilising a variety of different techniques that are individualised to fit the patient’s recovery needs based on a thorough initial assessment. John incorporates hands-on manual therapy techniques such as mobilisations, trigger point releases and massage, and also uses manipulations, dry needling, strapping and kinesiotaping where appropriate. John educates patients to facilitate recovery with exercise prescription and advice to manage their injuries. 

William Chang

Registered Acupuncturist

BHSc of Acupuncture, NZASA, ACC Registered

William is originally from Taiwan and he has been here in NZ since he was 15. He went the Auckland Grammar school and had help him interact with different cultures.
William graduated from The New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine and he is a registered acupuncturist and specializes in acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries by using different types of needling techniques. Over the past 2 years he has also been treating diseases related to internal disorders such as insomnia, depression, high blood pressure and different types of chronic problems.

He always has the passion to help people with their health condition and to live a pain-free and comfortable life. 

Kenny Chen

Registered Acupuncturist & herbalist

Kenny grew up in family of TCM practitioners but it was through his years of sporting injuries that fuelled his inspiration to learn Acupunctureto aid his own recovery that ignited his passion to become a TCM practitioner. He earned a Bachelor's degree of Health Science (Acupuncture) & Chinese Herbs from NZSATCM.  As an ACC-accredited Acupuncturist and a member of AcuNZ, he specializes in the treatment of pain, non-pain condition, stress and lifestyle imbalances. He relies on his palpatory skills and touch to understand body imbalances. Combined with gentle needling techniques, he utilises cupping and acupressure massage (Tuina) to maximize patients' self- healing mechanism.

Kenny appreciates the uniqueness of each patient and always adjust according to your condition, comfort and level of tolerance. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and several Chinese dialogues.
